Day Sixteen: Manaslu Base Camp; Storm Continues

Today, after a relatively clear morning, the weather deteriorated considerably as the afternoon came. By evening, snow was slamming against our tents and we had to dig ourselves out every few hours. Lightning lit up the night sky and thunder echoed off the Himalayan peaks around us. We went to bed hoping that tomorrow would bring better weather.
