Day Three: Kathmandu; Final Preparations for Trek to BC Today, after waking up at 5:30am, I headed out to have breakfast in Thamel, got a haircut, and picked up the last few items missing from my equipment (gas canisters, bamboo sticks, power strip, etc.). I then met up with a friend who had been staying in Nepal for around 5 months working with an NGO for lunch. We headed over to the Factory, a new bar that had popped up on Mandala Street, which was far too swanky for our taste, then headed over to Sam’s Bar for a more relaxed atmosphere. After a few Everest Beers, I rushed around getting my bags all packed up and got an early night.
